We were under pressure to complete the program as green renovations were due to start on 2nd March.

We had to allocate average scores for the Tuesday games which were washed out with the persistent rain.

The final games played on a Thursday were re=arranged from November but threw up some interesting ties.

In the Shield, previous winners Nomads and Crosshills were tied and were scheduled to play each other which became the title decider.

In the Plate Greetland were bouncing straight back to the Shield comp after being relegated the previous season. The second place was up for grabs though as Lindley and Mirfield OB. were level on points.

Phil Holroyd - Nomads Captain and team mate James Senior who won the average prize.

The deciding game didn’t disappoint but Nomads successfully defended their title with a 14-13 win over Crosshills, both teams having two winners.

Greetland The Plate Winners

Greetland wrapped up the title with a final day win over Asa Briggs.

The runners up spot was filled by Mirfield OB by the narrowest of margins as they beat Cleckheaton 17-7 while Lindley were drawing 16-16 with Pellon.

The Plate average prize went to Gordon Bradford of Greetland who just pipped Mel Straddling of Mirfield on the last day.

A big thank you to everyone for supporting Hove Edge again this winter.
